Which doors are open?

You may use the Cathedral lane entrance (near the parking lot) or our front door on Woodward Avenue.

Is everyone welcome at your service?

Absolutely! Our vision is to be an extraordinary spiritual gathering place where people of all backgrounds and ages are welcome to question and learn, pray, worship and serve; being loved by God in ways that change and improve their lives and the lives of others. Whoever you are, wherever you are along your journey, you have a place here!

What should I expect before the service?

Masks are not required in the Cathedral. You may see some people who are masked. We will never ask you to remove your mask. If you need a mask when you come to the Cathedral, you can find them at the Front Desk.

Hand sanitizer will be available in multiple places.

What should I expect during the service?

Please keep the passing of the peace touchless.

Ushers pass the offertory plates at our Eucharistic services. If you prefer a touchless method of giving, you may use electronic giving.

Those involved in the consecration and distribution of Communion will use hand sanitizer beforehand, and will use it during the distribution as needed.

Communion is offered in both kinds (bread and wine). We use the high altar at the 11:00 a.m. service for distribution, and we also have a barrier-free option in Grace Chapel. Distribution at the 8:15 a.m. service happens in the Great Crossing.

What should I wear to a service?

Come as you are! Our community is very diverse and you will see everything from “Sunday best” to jeans and everything in between. We are just so glad you are here!

What about other virtual meetings at the Cathedral?

Many of our offerings are available in hybrid formats (with an in-person and a virtual component). Many of our committee meetings are virtual only. To find out if the event or class you are interested in will be offered in a virtual, hybrid, or in-person only format, please contact the leader in charge of that event. More information about those events and classes can be found on other portions of this website.
